At the end of the XV centuury, there was a small stone building in the place of the existing one; only basements have remained from the ancient building. They became the basement of the house, built not later than 1479. The house was stone, two-storied, three-chambered. In the XVI century, at 2 m distance to the north frm it the second two-storied house of the same planning was built, the entrance to which was decorated by the Renaissance portal from the north, made of white stone. At the end of the XVII century, the house was damaged; its reconstruction was accompanied by building on a two-storied building with a passage to the west, decorated by a portal, transported from the house of the XVI centrury. Both houses were consolidated with one roof at the same time. Planning of the united houses remained in the state it had been before. In the middle of the XVIII century, the building belonged to the town planning ensemble of five houses, located in rmenian Square, it was connected by the arch, transferred over the street with the house of Ya. de Vitte, that was situated opposite of it from the western side. On the brink of the XVIII-XIX centuries, the arch, connecting the buildings, was demolished, the western elevation of the Armenian house was altered, its inner planning was changed. It is stone, plastered, two-storied, rectangular in plan. It is covered with steep, high, with interception, shingle roof. The basements are covered with torispherical vaults with strikings, made of stone; on the ground floor apart of lodgements has brick vaults, the last lodgements of the ground and first floors have flat beam ceiling. The platbands of the windows are white-stone, level and principal cornices are made of white stone, they are partly plastered. The passing is framed by a white-stone portal with vegetative ornament in the Renaissance style. White-stone portals and the striking of the house of the XV century were restored in interior, they were profiled and had modest ornament.
The restoration of the building, that was finished in 1977 (architects Ye. M. Plamenyts'ka, . D. Tiupych), returned it the look of the beginning of the XVIII century. The monument is one of the ancient Armenian buildings in the city.
